BLAST into summer 2021 with an EXPLOSIVE VBS program like you’ve never experienced. Church of the Open Door is hosting B.A.S.I.C. Elements Science VBS from June 14-18.
Kids will explore the world of science – from launching rockets to squishing slime — while walking through five BAISC elements of faith — Believe, Ask, Serve, Impact, Celebrate.
Each day kids will hear the Word of God during two science devotionals, as well as play science games, have science-themed snacks, and watch crazy science skits and videos. After a year of sheltering in place, let’s celebrate and explore the goodness of God’s love together.
As our state continues to make forward movement out of the global pandemic, you have probably noticed that our county’s tier color has changed and that the COVID-19 positivity rate for our county is at an all-time low. Church of the Open Door celebrates these milestones, and with prayerful consideration has decided to make masks optional for all church activities including our VBS program. We ask each of our registered families to make a personal decision regarding masks that is best for their family.
Safety is important to us and we will continue to be thoughtful about ventilation and cleaning. 75% of our VBS program will be outdoors and the portions that are indoors will be using our campus’ largest rooms to ensure lots of space. We are also asking parents to keep their child home if they are exhibiting symptoms of illness or have been exposed.
We are looking forward to meeting all of your children. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration as we move forward together.
