November 14 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am
Shepherd’s Pantry, a food bank in Glendora, invites our help! They are gathering non-perishable items for the hundreds of families who will be coming for the holiday food distribution. Would you help meet this need in our community?
Here’s what you can do:
1. FILL A BAG (or two!) with non-perishable items on the food bank wish list (see list below).
2. DROP OFF your items:
IN ADVANCE: Bring your donation with you to church on Sundays November 1 or November 8. A white barrel (labeled Food Drive) will be available near the tent for you to place your non-perishable goods.
ON NOVEMBER 14: Bring your donation to the Church of the Open Door Worship Center between 8am-11am on Saturday, November 14. You can stay in your car and wave; our volunteers will take the bagged items from your vehicle.
3. MAKE A CONTRIBUTION towards the purchase of gift cards. These donations will be used by Shepherd’s Pantry to purchase Christmas gifts cards for children of families in need. (For online gifts, select “Shepherd’s Pantry Gifts” from the online giving dropdown menu. If writing a check, please make it out to Church of the Open Door, with “Shepherd’s Pantry Gifts” in the memo line.)
4. SIGN UP to help on the day of the drive. Choose one of two shifts: 8-10am – help unload and sort at the church; 10am – 12pm – help deliver to and unload at Shepherd’s Pantry.
Thank you for your partnership!
