We have had the privilege for the past month or so to begin studying the book of Acts, to learn how the gospel spread. We know that the gospel spread not because of perfect people, but because of ordinary people – ordinary believers who trusted an extraordinary God.
They were unified on mission, and a cool thing is that the Holy Spirit that moved through them is alive and well in us today … and the mission is not over!
In early June we are holding VBS 2025. This year’s theme is Beyond the Stars – Empowered to Go.
It’s a launching pad for kids to learn about Jesus and go out beyond the stars to tell their friends about Him and how He changes lives.
We need YOU to get this mission off the ground.
Just like the early church brought their gifts and talents to get the early church going, we need your talents as well.
- Maybe it is food prep.
- Maybe it is games.
- Maybe it’s registration.
- Maybe it’s holding babies in the nursery.
- Or painting wood or cutting up sheets for decoration.
There are so many ways to help!
Our biggest need always is for people to be with the children. To be God’s hands and feet. To be like Jesus who was among the people. Learning names. Giving high fives. Listening to dad jokes. All of the things that make kids feel welcome and feel God’s love.
 There’s no experience needed. Just a willing heart – an ordinary person!
And we provide training for you. There’s a VBS training lunch happening on Sunday, May 18. (And if you want to participate in VBS and you have young children – we’ll provide childcare for them while you serve.)
This ministry is our Jerusalem in so many ways.
We have more than 400 kids registered (we’re full and have a waiting list!) and 75 volunteers.
We are praying for God to provide 100 more volunteers to partner with us in some capacity.
