Easter is coming, a joyful celebration of Christ’s resurrection and the defeat of sin and death. Yet to fully enter into that joy, we must first enter into Jesus’ suffering.

Good Friday reminds us that Easter came at an incredible cost. It shows us a picture of humanity at its worst, and it shows us a picture of God’s selfless love at its best.

I invite you to join us this Friday as we remember the events leading up to the cross with music, scripture readings, and communion. Since we are unable to meet together for this year’s service, I have put together instructions that I encourage you to read in advance and follow while you listen to the online service.

Service Instructions

I have always favored using sensory elements to enhance our remembrance of these events, and I think you will find them helpful. Whether you choose to use them or not, I hope you will join us Friday!

Sincerely,

Steve Sandy
Worship Pastor

P.S. The service will be available from 7pm on Friday at churchoftheopendoor.com.
