If you’re anything like me, it’s hard to watch more than 30 minutes of news on TV these days. The truth is that there isn’t much I can do to change this crazy COVID-19 reality. However, there is One we all know who can, our merciful King Jesus!
Scattered throughout the Upper Room Discourse in John’s gospel is this amazing exhortation to ask God for provision and supply. Jesus is begging His disciples to take on a ministry of asking. “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it (14:14) . . . ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you (15:7) . . . Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full (16:24).”
I often forget how much our Savior wants to answer prayer. Let’s take Jesus at His word and join together in the ministry of asking!
Please join me at 12 noon each Wednesday in April to pray. Let’s ask God to end COVID-19, and to care for the many needs that have come about because of it.
Send me a message and I’ll invite you to the first Zoom Prayer Meeting at noon on Wednesday, April 1.
If you can’t join me via Zoom on Wednesday, I encourage you to pray these COVID-19 PRAYER POINTS wherever you are.
Your fellow minister in asking,
