Grace tells the truth about sin, but grace does not condemn. For 17 chapters, John is preparing us for the death and resurrection of Jesus the Nazarene, and starting in John 18 it’s like he turns to the reader and says, “Let me tell you how Jesus saved you from sin, condemnation and shame.”

Like us they were impressed with the wealthy, powerful, and strong. Like us the culture was having its way with their money, values, and priorities.

The Battle Plan

We are in a battle and the battle plan, our calling as a community is to go and make disciples of all the nations. That’s the bottom line of this whole thing. To miss this is to miss the life that Jesus recreated us for. To miss this is to miss the joy and fulfillment that Jesus is offering. To miss this is to miss the great adventure with Him.
